Seven surprisingly stripey travel snaps

photo(19)Seeing as this blog is called Love Stripes, I decided it was time for anotherĀ  post about… wait for it… stripes! I originally planned a fashion post about all the stripey items I have purchased recently – stay tuned it’s on the way – but while scrolling through my travel photos one evening I noticed a surprising amount of them included stripes. Whether it was the pancake rocks in New Zealand or the rows of hedges I photographed in Germany. So for those of you who – like myself – are interested in travel and enjoy the odd stripey item you may like this collection of photos. View Post

Ten bars to visit in Sydney

photo(9)In December 2011 I went to Australia for a month’s holiday, which bizarrely turned into a two year working holiday (I just couldn’t bring myself to leave so soon).

The majority of the time that I lived in Australia was spent in Sydney, and in that time I got to know the city – and the bars – pretty well. These watering holes were some of my favourite places to hang out, so if you ever find yourself in this corner of the globe I recommend you visit a few of them. View Post

The perfect summer dress

photo(8)Every year I am on the look out for the perfect summer dress, and this year I believe I have found it, this beautiful little number from Cath Kidston.

I have always been a fan of floral prints. I just can’t seem to help myself. I will be out shopping and will instantly be drawn to every floral item of clothing in the particular shop that I am in. View Post

Moroccan Inspired Tea

photo(7)

I came across this recipe through a friend. I have never actually been to Morocco (it’s on my bucket list) so I didn’t really know what to expect from Moroccan-style tea especially as it isn’t something I regularly encounter. Now that I have educated myself on all things tea, I can say that this particular one has a lovely refreshing taste and is so easy to make that I couldn’t wait to share it on my blog. View Post

The battle of the concealers

photo(5)

I am not one to spend too much time on my make-up. For work, shopping, grabbing coffee and general day-to-day wear, I use concealer under my eyes, blusher on my cheeks, a dust of powder on my T-Zone and add a few soft strokes of Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil to define my eyebrows. Then if I am feeling really fancy – or just have a spare two minutes – I may also use a bit of mascara on my lashes (currently No7 Stay Perfect Mascara). View Post
