I have always been a fan of floral prints. I just can’t seem to help myself. I will be out shopping and will instantly be drawn to every floral item of clothing in the particular shop that I am in.
When I saw this dress – the hampstead rose dress with dart front detail – I wasn’t actually out shopping, but browsing the website of one of my favourite shops – especially for floral prints – Cath Kidston. As soon as I saw this dress I instantly knew I would have to act fast because Cath Kidston has a terrible habit of selling out of popular items. So after a few minutes – as opposed to a few days – of mulling my purchase over I made my move. I should learn to go with my gut more often as low and behold if you go onto the website now this dress has sold out in every size!
I have to say, this dress has turned out to be one of my most successful impulse buys ever. It has already seen me through everything from a day in the office to a picnic in Regents Park and even the rehearsal dinner for my cousin’s wedding; and we are only in July.
It is made of a lovely viscose fabric, which is light and airy, comes just below the knee, which I find to be the perfect length for a midi dress. I absolutely adore the floral print of this dress and I find the blue background to be an incredibly flattering shade.
All I can say is good one CK!
As mentioned above this dress has sadly sold out, but there are similar styles, patterns and fabrics still available on the Cath Kidston website, so I would recommend taking a look.
