This summer as part of my road trip around America’s south eastern states I found myself somewhere I had wanted to visit for years… the magical city of New Orleans. Due to my tight – as usual – schedule I had just two nights and one full day to see the highlights of this city and this is how I got on. View Post
This month my partner and I were in Mallorca for five days. Now I have been to Mallorca before… but that was ten years ago and I didn’t venture out of the sleepy (haha!) town of Magaluf so the less said about that the better. This time I was here for a wedding and to chill out, but me being me I couldn’t spend all my free time by the pool so on one of the days we headed out in our hire car for a day trip up the coast. I recently managed to do a big tick off my bucket list in Jordan by visiting the world wonder that is Petra, along with the lowest point of earth, The Dead Sea. We only had two days for this trip and so once again I am here to show you how to see big sights in a short time and also on a limited budget. View Post
Taking a step in the Bolivian Salt Flats or Salar de Uyuni is like taking a step in another planet. It is almost twelve thousand feet above sea level where the oxygen is low and more than ten and a half thousand square kilometres in size. The landscape is the same for as far as the eye can see which results in some pretty cool photos and makes Salar de Uyuni a travel photographer’s dream. View Post
This spring my partner and I had 11 days to go somewhere (well two places) we had always wanted to go… Peru and Bolivia.
Given that we had limited time we toyed with the idea of doing just one or the other, but then with the fear of missing out on our minds – when will we go to South America again!?- we decided to do both by concentrating on the highlights of both: Machu Picchu and Salar de Uyuni (the salt flats).
